someone explain why there is still a terrorist out on the move. this has stopped being slightly funny to downright worrying. find him already!

anyway, i’m in school with the PPP course thing, and this is by far the most boring thing i’ve been involved in all week. i could be at work now, making some moolah and changing shelves’ strips, like i want to. i am the keeper of shelves at the toy store.

i’ll talk to you in a bit. meanwhile, entertain yourself with the FAQ on your left.

scott and i got talking, and as usual, the conversation topics ranged from hookers to politics to handshakes to redbull vs semen, but truly, what i want to share is sign poetry. how we got to that topic is irrelevant, but let’s think about it. it *does* exist – we did our reserach. scott even went so far to find a paper on it.

it’s a great way for the deaf/dumb community to express themselves. and,

A poem is a composition expressed in verse, written or signed. Pradoxically, as a poem relies heavily on imagery and visual-oriented metaphors, poetry is naturally fit in this mode of communication: visual-manual (sign) language. Poetry and sign language are a rich and spontaneous complementarity. Merging them together is a magic of poesy. No third-party interpretation nor translation can convey a signed poem fully. It can be appreciated by its first-hand experience.

there’s a lot of potential in this, i feel. i’m not sure, let me know what you think. it could catch on. people will meet in cafes, sit in silence in a half-circle and watch poetry in motion.

yes, i like this idea. i should heed scott’s advice and find some place that could teach me asl. the sister knows a bit of asl, i think. that’s a fine start. we’ll work something out.

while you think about this, i would like to share one of the most enlightening blogs ever, again, thanks to scott. click here.

this is exactly why i keep stressing to my parents that i need my own security team.

on the bright side, there are officers patrolling the area, and a little eye candy is always welcomed.

hmm, i’m not sure how i feel about this new theme. i will leave it on for a day, till i find a nicer one with the fancy stuff for you to clicky click at the sides.

shafik will be amused to know i sprained my right ankle again. this will be, what, sprain number seven?

my dad just called. he is extremely annoyed at the escapee because now my dad has to pull an all-nighter at work, cooking and packing food for the police and army and whoever else is out looking for the man.

my ankle feels better, thanks.

okay, i think this one’s better, oui? the font’s a bit too small but deal with it, thanks.

hello. this is me hyped up on redbull and love. today the gorgeous david & molly trio went down to timbre (mark this place as one of the best chillout spots in this side of the island) for dinner, drinks and dessert. and of course, our friends, the boys from plushfools, were having a stripped set.

and i have to say, i was pretty pleased with them. truly, i think this was one of their better sets. zach sounded good, they all look like they lost weight (if they’ve been working out, i’ll be amused and annoyed because i have been skipping gym in favour of watching ellen on tv), and i think their cover of hit me baby one more time was pure brilliance. okay, no, i think their stripped version of their original what you get was awesome shit. just slightly better than the cover the 369 kittens did.

oh yeah, that reminds me, michael buble is great to dance too. especially if you know a friend who can sing it while you’re both at work at night. that’s the best.

but anyway, i should shut up and show you the pictures. or at least some of them. i’m not going to be uploading this to my flickr. okay, maybe one or two. but i am going to pass the boys the rest so maybe they’ll upload it to their myspace (well, they better).

my first unofficial gig photo shoot has made me remember why i loved photography the way i did late last year.

i like this one cause they all look so happy, yes.

this is for dan because he was once complaning to me about how no one took his photo when he’s behind the drums. pardon zach’s body, though.

and i had to put this in because i think naj looks happy and pretty.

well, that’s all i’m putting up here. remember to check their page and stuff. and i think the d&m people will be back at timbre for more creme brule next month. king kong jane will be doing their rock your world set, so that’s exciting.

ps: charmaine choo, i couldn’t get ONE decent shot of you!

rules of the game.

these are rules i came up with while driving, about driving:

  1. for god’s sake and the sake of our children, DO NOT put traffic lights on top of a slope! how am i supposed to undo my handbrake, handle the clutch, foot brake and accelerator, and not slip backwards. hmm?
  2. hot NS boys who score the coveted 56/19 on the hotness chart SHOULD NOT be allowed to stand at a bus stop that is just before a sharp bend. at all times.
  3. traffic lights should have a countdown so i know exactly how many more seconds i have before that green light turns amber. this will result in me NOT having to use the emergency brake and toss everything on the backseat to the floor. or traffic lights can be psychic. whichever, i’m cool.
  4. i should not be allowed to drive in school zones of schools that we once schools of people i dislike. seriously. it’s not safe.
  5. people should NOT tail gate me. ever. because i like to brake at my own ease, and if you have an issue with that, bring it up with my instructor.
  6. children below 1.5m SHOULD NOT be allowed to cross the road alone.

today started off with me being hyperly alert (thank you makers of redbull), but there were only three people at work so there was much running about and customer servicing. and to top it off, i had to babysit the new cashier.

however, i met the best friend for dinner and that was a blast, and to prove my point that manual cars are WAY better than autos, i spent $5 at the arcade racing her. i won hands down, thanks. oh, sarah, you know i love you so.

and little sean came by the store today, ten times more adorable than i remembered him to be. he recognised me and giggled and hopped his way over to say hello and give me a little wave. he’s too cute, i tell you, him and his brown hair. miggy-pops, i know i said you’ll always be my number one drummer boy, but sean’s coming in a close second.

but after all the fun and laughter, i realised how exhausted i am. and how pissed i am too at the whole, you know. yeah. and i don’t even know why. this is stupid. i’m going to feast on the kulfi we bought and watch project runway.

buy lime’s smells like indie spirit, but only for track fourteen, yes!

this is what conversations have been reduced to:

“hello.”
“hello.”
“fine weather, huh?”
“lovely.”
“very well then. i’ll see you around.”
“yes, of course. good bye.”

i’m going to take time off work and paint. my room was rearranged while i was out shopping yesterday, and my wardrobe transformed while i was asleep this morning. if you’re wondering how my new room’s configuration is like, let’s just say i can now hold a business meeting, conduct a seance and play blackjack. maybe all at once, who knows.

but what i was trying to say is that there’s an empty wall and i want to do a three piece series. acrylic on canvas. i’m seeing lots of aqua blue and emerald green. i think it’s go nicely with when i paint my room purple. or red. i’m still deciding. okay, no, it’s settled. i’m painting it purple. which will be by the end of june, hopefully. anyone up from helping me paint my room? i’ll pay you with oreos and orange juice.

UPDATE:
after much thought, the art pieces will be in shades and hues of grey and dashes of emerald green.
