where have you been?

YAY! new year.

but before we get to that, i kinda want to reflect on ‘07, just to see what happened and stuff. work with me here for a moment.

let’s see now. there’s school and there’s nothing really much interesting there. i mean, it’s not like i got top in anything so fine, let’s skip that. school was okay okay in ‘07. oh, there was that awesome z.a. advertising project and stuff. okay, so there’s that, amongst many other good school stuff.

2007 also marked the birth of DAVID & MOLLY and that’s always nice. d&m has somehow, in it’s own fancy little ways opened the door for the three of us in many ways. we got to do a flea market, we got to sell some stuff, we got to make silly videos and mask chillaxing sessions at the plaza as ‘business meetings’, and we met plushfools through d&m (i never realised that till now. interesting).

speaking of the boys, there’s djmc. but since that’s top secret, you never saw this paragraph.

what else, what else.

oh yeah, there’s my photography. i’m still getting the hang of it, but ‘07 was the start of when sab decided to take pictures of the world again. i think one thing about photography that fascinates me is the ability to capture moments, especially candid ones. yeah sure, that fancy shot of the chair and the this and that is cool and all, but the shots that really get me are those of people in the middle of a laugh or a sneeze. yes, mid-sneeze shots are the best.

i met many, many amazing people in 2007 and i’m very happy about that. on the other side though, i did get into fights. haha, yes, good times, good times. a couple of people out there and i are no longer on speaking terms but that’s that. 2007 also helped me really cement a couple of other friendships and relationships and that’s always good and happy. i realise in 2007 that i love some people more than i knew, and that they love me too. 2007 was a lovely year then.

OH! i started driving lessons! YES THAT WAS AWESOME. i started other stuff too but that’s another story for when we have drinks and time.

well, now that we’re about 2 hours into the new year, i just want to say that while new years freak me out a bit, i like them for the sole reason that they offer a clean, fresh page.

granted, there were a few moments on ‘07 that i’m not proud of, or that could have worked out differently, but i reckon i wouldn’t trade them for anything.

in this crazy new year of ‘08, and i’m telling you right now, it’s going to be one hell of a ride, my resolutions are

1. to be less vulgar
2. to eat healthier
3. to have better sleeping habits
4. to spend more time with my family (this reminds me. my awesome mass comm cousin’s getting married this weekend i think and i’m wickedly excited)
5. to be a better person (don’t snigger)

and i also have a list of things i want to do in ‘08

1. drive up to KL after i get my license
2. spend an proper evening out with my delirious friends

okay, that’s all i have at the moment. more to come, i assure you.

well, i just got back in from the weekend getaway and i’m swiped. pictures soon! i didn’t get to have that much wished for photo spree at the batam flying club cause it was an hour’s drive away and the weather wasn’t very nice, but instead, my sister and i spent an hour in the hotel’s lobby going crazy with the camera and the hospitable hotel staff.

anyway, i’m going to call it a night now. i’ll see you in the morning of ‘08.

OH YEAH OH YEAH. i met my chemical romance in ‘07. now, that’s what i call good shit. hee, frank iero.

have a fucking good year, my sweethearts. i have a good feeling about this, and i hope you to do.

i’ll be in indonesia for the last weekend of this awesome year. hopefully, i’ll be back early enough on the 31st for the fireworks!

okay, i think i have mentioned this a few times before.
december is not my favorite month.

i used to like it. shopping sales, holidays, food and festivities, and a part of that has remained with me still. but mostly, decembers depress me.

it may be because it marks the end to yet another year. i don’t know, that could be it. everyone hates goodbyes, right. decembers are always cold and wet too.

decembers are filled with disappointments and let downs.

okay, but to december’s credit, there are several things i do look forward to in december.i have a few friends who celebrate their birthdays in december. christmas always brings about a bout of shopping and dinner parties.

you know what december needs? december needs more… well, i don’t know.

i think that’s the washer beeping. laundry needs attending to now.

today has been more or less awesome. while it started off with much running of errands, it did end on a high note.

so, just a quick scan of the day’s events. naj, char, nigel and i trooped out arty asses down to the national museum for some intellectual art viewing, and to be quite honest, it was fun. we made a new friend, brandon, who said goodbye in the most anti-climatic fashion. check out the history thing that’s going on there. it’s pretty fancy and, well, personal. i don’t know. it was good.

but once our brains were oozing with smart juices, we headed down to marina for the most anti-climatic dinner ever with nine of our closest and most hilarious friends.

i do have pictures and i shall post them up as soon as i find time to resize them and stuff.

and what’s an evening out without some good music. we managed to catch king kong jane live at stage@powerhouse and they were great stuff. i remember like months ago, naj introduced them to me, but i’ve never really heard them live. so yes, do check them out and support local music cause we’re awesome. like my boys from plushfools. and 369 kittens.

ANYWAY, that was more of less it. unless you consider weird contortions of my name an event worth mentioning.

thanks to the nine who turned up; it was a fucking good dinner.
